About this manual

This Chamber Manual is the official operating guide for law firms on Legum AI Pak. It explains how to register the firm, get verified, add lawyer seats, set permissions, use Meezan AI under a shared credit pool, and run client work through Firm inbox, proposals and matter management.

Weigh the law in your favour. The flagship research assistant is Meezan AI. Editorial reading is published as Legum Law Review. This article is product documentation for firm administrators and seat holders — not legal advice.

Key point

Always verify AI citations and drafts before filing or advising a client. Meezan outputs are research aids, not authorities.

Chapter 1 — Getting started

On the Legum AI Pak website, open firm registration for law firms (not the individual Lawyer signup). Complete the form sections:

  • Firm details
  • Office & contact
  • Practice & profile
  • Authorized representative
  • Verification documents
  • Account

Registration creates one firm organisation and an Owner seat for the authorised representative. That login is a firm seat under the firm subscription — not a separate paid individual lawyer plan. After signup you land on the Firm dashboard. Later, use Sign in from the site header; use Forgot password if you need a reset.

Firm seats operate under the firm workspace — there is no separate personal-account switch while you are a member of a firm. Firm menus typically include Firm dashboard, Team Management, Permission Manager, Firm inbox, Jobs and My Legal News (exact items depend on permissions). Members without firm-dashboard permissions may land on a limited home view while still belonging to the firm.

Sidebar groups for firm work include Overview, AI Tools, Community, Workspace, Practice and Account. Exact items depend on each seat’s permissions.

Note

One firm account. Member logins share the firm subscription; only roles and permissions differ.

Chapter 2 — Get Verified and firm profile

Verification builds client trust. Open Firm profile from the practice menu and complete verification documents. Typical slots include:

  • Office proof (required)
  • Representative CNIC front and back (required)
  • Representative Bar card (required)
  • Representative professional photo (required)
  • Firm registration certificate (optional)
  • NTN (optional)

Submit for admin review. Status may show as under verification, verified, not verified, or suspended. Use Get Verified, Under verification or Resubmit verification from the Firm dashboard when offered. Admin may approve, reject with reason, request documents again, or suspend the firm.

Edit brand and public details from Firm profile: firm name, contact, practice areas, bio, logo and related fields. Your public firm page is shared on Legum AI Pak for clients discovering the chamber.

Chapter 3 — Plans, credits and storage

Firm plans share one credit pool, one storage pool and a seat cap. Confirm current prices in Billing.

PlanPriceSeatsCredits / monthStorageHighlights
Free Law FirmRs 01 (owner)1001 GBProfile, verification, Firm dashboard, Meezan within credits. Message content locked. No invites, matters, listings, jobs or Legal News submit.

ProfessionalRs 49,990 / month1520,000500 GBLarger shared pools; unlimited matters (fair usage); up to 50 lifetime Legal Services listings.
EnterpriseCustom quoteCustomCustomCustomScaled seats, credits and storage for larger chambers.

Yearly billing offers 10% off when available. Storage is lifetime and does not reset monthly; buy add-ons from Storage (about Rs 500 per GB — confirm in product). Early-Bird discounts may apply to the first paid Starter or Professional period when offered.

Firm renewal discounts (max 15%, reset on renewal, no rollover): published Legal Jobs up to 10%, and published Legal News up to 5%. Forum answers do not credit the firm discount pool. Open Billing (requires Manage Subscription permission) to choose a plan and complete gateway or manual bank-proof payment.

Note

Free Law Firm: explore and verify. Paid active plan: unlock messaging content, seats beyond the owner, matters, listings, jobs and Legal News — still gated by each seat’s permissions.

Chapter 4 — Lawyer seats and invitations

A lawyer seat is a login under the firm organisation. Seats share the firm’s subscription, AI credits and storage. The Owner seat is created at registration. Paid plans raise the seat cap (for example 5 on Starter, 15 on Professional).

Seat capacity uses this counting rule:

  • Seats used — active (non-suspended) members
  • Pending invitations — outstanding invites that have not expired
  • Seats committed — used + pending
  • Seats remaining — plan seat total minus committed

You cannot invite or create a login when seats remaining is zero. Free Law Firm cannot add members at all — upgrade to a paid plan first.

Open Team Management on the Firm dashboard (or Team members) when you have Manage Members permission. There are two ways to add a seat:

  • Create firm login — you set name, email, password and role; the member can sign in immediately
  • Invite by email — send a secure invitation link; the invitee accepts and completes account steps

Invitation details:

  • Choose a built-in role other than Owner (Owner is not inviteable)
  • The invite link expires after about one hour — resend if it expires
  • If the email already has a Legum AI Pak account matching the invite, they accept into the firm
  • If not, they register-and-join (password, date of birth and related checks), then continue lawyer onboarding for their seat profile
  • A person can belong to one firm only; joining fails if they already hold another firm seat
  • Accepted seats are marked as firm seats and use the firm’s shared plan

Optional: set a per-seat AI credit limit so one lawyer cannot exhaust the whole firm pool. Suspended members do not consume an active seat in the same way as live members — confirm status in Team Management.

Key point

Invites hold a seat until they expire or are accepted. Leave spare capacity before sending several invites at once.

Chapter 5 — Permission Manager

Open Permission Manager from the practice menu (requires Manage Permissions). Tabs typically include Roles, Member overrides, Create custom role and Team logins. Owner and Managing Partner seats resolve to the full permission set. Other seats use role defaults, a custom role template, or a per-member override when enabled.

Built-in roles include Owner, Managing Partner, Partner, Senior Associate, Associate, Junior Lawyer, Intern and Support Staff. Defaults get narrower from Partner toward Intern and Support Staff. Create a custom role when built-in defaults are too broad or too narrow, then assign it to seats. Use member overrides for one-off exceptions.

A paid plan unlocks features such as messaging content and matters at organisation level; each seat still needs the matching permission. Without permission, the menu item is hidden or blocked even on a paid firm.

Note

Least privilege: start from a built-in role, then narrow with a custom role or member override.

Chapter 6 — Meezan AI Assistant

Open Meezan AI from the top navigation or AI Tools menu, then Meezan AI Assistant (requires Use AI permission). Cost: 1 credit per run from the shared firm pool. Click New research and ask a natural-language question of Pakistani law. Use suggested prompts when offered.

From the answer you can:

  • Open sources
  • Copy the answer
  • Translate EN and Urdu where available
  • Export Word
  • Save to your library

Voice input may be available when the browser allows microphone access. Manage Recent chats in the sidebar and reopen Saved research from the tool or from Saved library. Firm dashboard may show Credits by lawyer. Always verify primary sources before filing.

Key point

Before filing: treat every citation as unverified until you open the reporter or official text yourself.

Chapter 7 — Drafting Engine

Open Drafting Engine from Meezan AI / AI Tools (requires Use Drafting Engine). Cost: 3 credits per run from the firm pool.

Templates include:

  • Bail Application (Criminal)
  • Constitutional Petition (Constitutional)
  • Civil Plaint (Civil)
  • Legal Notice (Civil)
  • Sale Deed (Property)
  • Employment Contract (Corporate)

Workflow: choose template, enter court or forum, parties, facts (required) and optional special instructions. Generate the draft, review Before filing warnings and Sources used, then Copy, Export Word or Save. Treat the output as a first draft — edit before use.

Chapter 8 — Argument Builder

Open Argument Builder (requires Use Argument Builder). Cost: 4 credits per run. Prepare structured arguments and counter-arguments with supporting authorities from retrieved Pakistani materials and evidence-support scores.

Enter matter type, court or forum, facts and background (required), and relief sought. Click Build arguments. Review Arguments and Counter-arguments tabs: heading, reasoning, Evidence percentage and authorities.

Key point

Grounds are limited to the statutes in your facts. The percentage is evidence support from retrieved excerpts, not predicted case outcome.

Chapter 9 — Predictive Analyzer

Open Predictive Analyzer (requires Use Predictive Analyzer). Cost: 5 credits per run. It surfaces case-strength and outcome signals with historical precedent trends — not a guarantee of winning.

Enter matter type, court (required), optional section or provision, optional judge, and key facts (required). Review probability, confidence, HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW risk items, favourable and adverse factors, historical trend and precedents. Use for internal strategy — do not present the percentage to a client as certainty of success.

Chapter 10 — Contract Analyzer

Open Contract Analyzer (requires Use Contract Analyzer). Cost: 6 credits per run. Analyse commercial agreements such as sale, lease, NDA or employment contracts for clause risks, gaps and recommended changes — not court pleadings.

Upload PDF, DOCX or TXT, or paste text. Review overall risk, executive summary, risky clauses, gaps and recommended changes. Court-draft style uploads may be rejected; use Drafting Engine for pleadings.

Chapter 11 — Marketplace: firm Legal Services

Manage branded listings from Legal Services in the practice menu (requires Create / Edit / Manage Services). Listings appear as the firm, not as a personal independent gig. Clients discover them on the public marketplace alongside Find Lawyers / Find Services.

  • Paid firm plan required to publish
  • Statuses such as Active, Paused or Draft — confirm labels in product
  • Lifetime listing caps: Starter up to 25; Professional up to 50

Firm seat holders do not publish personal marketplace services under the independent lawyer listing path while operating as a firm seat. Client contact for firm listings routes into the firm inbox model.

Chapter 12 — Firm inbox with clients

Open Firm inbox from the workspace menu for client ↔ firm threads. Seats with View Messages / Reply Messages / Resolve Firm Inbox Threads can open, reply and resolve threads.

Reply promptly, keep quotes clear, and move formal engagement into a proposal when you are ready to open a matter.

Chapter 13 — Engagement proposals

A Matter Proposal formalises engagement from Firm inbox when the seat has Create Proposals and the firm plan allows it. One accepted proposal opens one matter workspace.

How it works:

  • Open the client thread in Firm inbox
  • Use the Proposal action to draft terms (kind such as Litigation or Legal Service, title, court, practice area, matter type, description, scope, duration, fee, payment terms and optional notes)
  • Send the proposal — status starts as Pending
  • The client may Accept, Reject, or request Revision
  • If revision is requested, send an updated proposal with clearer terms
  • On Accept, Legum AI Pak creates a matter linked to that proposal — open it from the proposal card or from Matter management

Keep scope and fee language precise. Do not treat a chat quote as a substitute for an accepted proposal when you need a shared workspace, milestones and documents.

Note

Awaiting client response while Pending. After revision is requested, send a new proposal rather than editing the old one in place.

Chapter 14 — Matter management

Open Matter management from the workspace menu. Free Law Firm has no matters. Paid firms receive matter workspaces per plan (for example up to 75 on Starter). Most client matters arrive when a proposal is accepted; seats with Create Matters / Assign Matters can also open and assign work.

Visibility depends on permission:

  • View Assigned Matters — only matters assigned to that seat
  • View All Firm Matters — firm-wide list

Workspace tabs typically include:

  • Overview
  • Milestones — hearings, meetings, court appearance, client discussion, other (with dates)
  • Documents — gated by View / Upload Documents
  • Communication — link into messages
  • Tasks
  • Invoices — gated by Create Invoices
  • AI Insights

Close or reopen matters when you have Close / Reopen Matters. Use milestones to track hearing and meeting dates.

Chapter 15 — Legal Jobs

Open Jobs from the workspace menu to manage firm Legal Jobs (requires View Jobs / Post Jobs / Review Job Applications as relevant). Paid plan required to post. Create openings, edit details, and review applicants. Published jobs can contribute to the firm’s Jobs portion of renewal discount (up to 10% when targets are met).

Chapter 17 — Legal Blogs and Legum Law Review

Read Legum Law Review from Legal Blogs in the top navigation. Firms do not author Law Review posts; editorial content is published by Legum AI Platform. For firm written contribution and discount eligibility, use Legal News and Legal Jobs instead.

Chapter 18 — Q&A Forum

Open Q&A Forum from the top navigation to read and answer questions. Firm seats may participate according to account access. Forum answers do not add to the firm’s renewal discount pool (unlike independent lawyer Q&A discounts). Prefer Jobs and Legal News for firm contribution rewards.

Chapter 19 — Notifications, Saved library and Settings

Account and overview tools:

  • Notifications — alerts; enable web push in Settings if offered
  • Saved library — saved research, blogs, news and forum items
  • Settings — password, preferences, device security and account options
  • Storage — firm lifetime storage meter and add-ons
  • Billing — firm plan changes (Manage Subscription permission)

Chapter 20 — Best practices and compliance

Always verify Meezan citations before filing. Do not treat Predictive percentages as a guaranteed win. Argument Builder Evidence percentage is not outcome probability. Protect client confidentiality across shared firm seats. Assign least-privilege permissions. Upgrade from Free when you need messaging content, additional seats, matters, listings, jobs or Legal News. If admin Suspends the firm, public presence and operations are restricted until resolved.

Key point

This Chamber Manual is product documentation for Legum AI Pak. It is not legal advice and does not replace Bar Council professional rules.

Quick reference — AI credit costs

Credits draw from the shared firm monthly pool (100 on Free Law Firm; higher on paid plans). Per-seat caps may apply when configured.
