About this manual

This Chamber Manual is the official operating guide for users (clients and law students) on Legum AI Pak. It focuses on finding and contacting counsel, then covers messaging, proposals, matter management, Meezan AI and the rest of the client toolkit.

Weigh the law in your favour. The flagship research assistant is Meezan AI. Editorial reading is published as Legum Law Review. This article is product documentation — not legal advice.

Key point

Always verify AI citations and drafts before relying on them. Meezan outputs are research aids, not authorities or a substitute for a lawyer.

Chapter 1 — Getting started

On the Legum AI Pak website, open Sign up and choose User (not Lawyer or Law Firm). Then pick:

  • Public User — standard client account
  • Law Student — student Premium price after Admin approval (educational email, university details and student card required)

Complete email OTP, set a password, and enter full name, phone, date of birth, CNIC, city and optional profession. Students also submit university / law college details and a future degree completion month. Later, use Sign in from the site header; use Forgot password if you need a reset. After login you land on your Dashboard.

Top navigation includes Dashboard, Meezan AI (dropdown), Find Lawyers, Q&A Forum, Legal Blogs and Legal News. The sidebar groups Overview, AI Tools, Community (including Find Lawyers), Workspace, Practice and Account.

Note

Law Student: submit documents for Admin review before the student Premium rate applies. Use Student discount under Practice to track status.

Chapter 2 — Find Lawyers, Services and Law Firms

Finding counsel is the core client journey. Open Find Lawyers from the top navigation or Community sidebar. The marketplace has three tabs:

  • Find Lawyers — verified independent counsel profiles
  • Find Services — packaged legal services (including firm-branded listings)
  • Find Law Firms — chambers and organisations you can message as a firm

On Find Lawyers, search by name, firm, city, expertise or court. Narrow results with filters such as:

  • Practice area / expertise
  • Court of practice
  • City and province
  • Language
  • Law firm
  • Minimum experience
  • Minimum rating
  • Online consultation available

Sort by Recommended, Most experienced, Highest rated, Most reviewed, Recently joined or Alphabetical. Open a profile to read bio, practice tags, courts, rates and reviews where shown.

On Find Services, search by service name or category, use category chips, and sort including price low-to-high or high-to-low. On Find Law Firms, search and filter by city, then open a firm presence.

To start a conversation, use Message (or Sign in to message if logged out). Messaging counsel or a firm is free for all clients — no paid plan required. Firm listings open a thread with the firm, not a single seat. An initial hello message starts the inbox thread; formal engagement continues through proposals later in that chat.

Key point

Browse verified profiles, compare services and firms, then Message — that is the hire path on Legum AI Pak. There is no separate checkout; engagement is confirmed when you Accept a Matter Proposal.

Chapter 3 — Plans, credits and storage

User plans share one monthly AI credit pool and lifetime storage. Confirm current prices in Billing.

PlanPriceCredits / monthStorageHighlights
Free UserRs 0201 GBFind Lawyers / Services / Firms, message counsel, Meezan within credits, up to 50 matters, Q&A asks (2 / month), read blogs & news. Legal Jobs browse/apply locked.
Premium UserRs 2,500 / month (students Rs 1,500 after approval)5005 GBLarger AI pool, unlimited matters, Q&A asks (10 / month), browse & apply on Legal Jobs, save and track applications. Yearly billing offers 10% off when shown.

Storage is lifetime and does not reset monthly; buy add-ons from Storage (about Rs 500 per GB — confirm in product). Open Billing from the account menu to upgrade or renew.

Note

Messaging lawyers and firms stays available on Free. Premium mainly expands AI credits, matter limits, Q&A quota and Legal Jobs.

Chapter 4 — Messages with counsel

Open Messages from the workspace menu to continue threads you started from Find Lawyers, Find Services or Find Law Firms. Clients can view and reply to their own conversations on Free and Premium.

Reply with clear facts and questions. When counsel is ready to engage formally, they send a Matter Proposal in the thread — you do not send proposals as a client.

Chapter 5 — Engagement proposals

A Matter Proposal is counsel’s formal offer (scope, duration, fee, payment terms and notes). Status starts as Pending. As a client you can:

  • Accept — opens a shared matter workspace
  • Revise — ask counsel to update terms; they send a new proposal
  • Reject — decline the engagement

Read scope and fee carefully before Accept. After Accept, use Open matter workspace (or Matter management) to follow the matter. Free clients may accept and use matter workspaces within Free plan limits.

Note

Only counsel sends proposals. Your job is to Accept, request Revision, or Reject.

Chapter 6 — Matter management

Open Matter management from the workspace menu for Your matters. Each accepted proposal opens a separate workspace. Free User: up to 50 workspaces. Premium User: unlimited (fair usage in product).

Client workspace tabs typically include:

  • Overview
  • Milestones — hearing and meeting dates set by counsel
  • Documents
  • Communication — link into Messages
  • Tasks
  • Invoices — upload payment proof and mark paid when offered; counsel approves

Clients do not close or reopen matters, edit milestones or create invoices — those actions stay with counsel. After an independent matter is completed, you may leave a review. AI Insights on a matter is counsel-only.

Chapter 7 — Meezan AI Assistant

Open Meezan AI from the top navigation dropdown, then Meezan AI Assistant. Cost: 1 credit per run from your monthly pool. Click New research and ask a natural-language question of Pakistani law. Use suggested prompts when offered.

From the answer you can:

  • Open sources
  • Copy the answer
  • Translate EN and Urdu where available
  • Export Word
  • Save to your library

Voice input may be available when the browser allows microphone access. Manage Recent chats in the sidebar and reopen Saved research from the tool or from Saved library. Always verify primary sources — AI is not a court filing or a lawyer’s opinion.

Key point

Before relying on a citation: open the reporter or official text yourself.

Chapter 8 — Drafting Engine

Open Drafting Engine from the Meezan AI menu. Cost: 3 credits per run.

Templates include:

  • Bail Application (Criminal)
  • Constitutional Petition (Constitutional)
  • Civil Plaint (Civil)
  • Legal Notice (Civil)
  • Sale Deed (Property)
  • Employment Contract (Corporate)

Choose a template, enter court or forum, parties, facts (required) and optional instructions. Generate, review warnings and sources, then Copy, Export Word or Save. Treat every draft as a starting point — have counsel review before filing or sending.

Chapter 9 — Argument Builder

Open Argument Builder. Cost: 4 credits per run. Enter matter type, court or forum, facts and background (required), and relief sought. Review Arguments and Counter-arguments with Evidence percentages and authorities. The percentage is evidence support from retrieved excerpts — not a predicted win rate.

Key point

Use Argument Builder to prepare questions for your lawyer — not as a finished pleading.

Chapter 10 — Predictive Analyzer

Open Predictive Analyzer. Cost: 5 credits per run. Enter matter type, court (required), optional section or provision, optional judge, and key facts (required). Review probability, confidence and risk factors. Do not treat the percentage as a guarantee of success.

Chapter 11 — Contract Analyzer

Open Contract Analyzer. Cost: 6 credits per run. Upload PDF, DOCX or TXT, or paste commercial agreement text (sale, lease, NDA, employment and similar). Review overall risk, risky clauses, gaps and recommended changes. Court pleadings are not the right upload type — use Drafting Engine for those, and still have a lawyer review.

Chapter 12 — Legal Jobs

Open Jobs from the workspace menu for Legal Jobs. Users browse and apply — they do not post openings (firms post jobs). Free User cannot browse or apply; upgrade to Premium User. On Premium, filter by designation, practice area, city and province, use Apply Now, and track applications under My jobs. You can save jobs and follow interview status where shown.

Chapter 14 — Legal Blogs and Legum Law Review

Read Legum Law Review from Legal Blogs in the top navigation, including the full archive and individual articles. Bookmark useful pieces. Users do not author Law Review posts.

Chapter 15 — Q&A Forum

Open Q&A Forum from the top navigation. Browse trending, latest, unanswered and top questions. Use Ask a question when signed in. Free User: up to 2 asks per month. Premium User: up to 10. Answers from counsel are public forum contributions — not a private retainer.

Chapter 16 — Notifications, Saved library and Settings

Account tools:

  • Notifications — alerts (All, Rewards, Moderation, System filters where shown)
  • Saved library — saved research, Legal News and Legal Blogs
  • Profile / Settings — account, password, two-factor when offered, visibility, devices and deactivate account
  • Student discount — Law Student verification status (students only)
  • Billing — Free vs Premium plan
  • Storage — lifetime quota and add-ons

Chapter 17 — Best practices and compliance

Use Find Lawyers thoughtfully: compare verification, practice area, city and reviews before you Message. Keep facts accurate in chat. Read every proposal before Accept. Verify Meezan citations yourself. Do not treat Predictive percentages as a guaranteed win. Protect your CNIC and documents. Upgrade to Premium when you need more AI credits, more Q&A asks or Legal Jobs.

Key point

This Chamber Manual is product documentation for Legum AI Pak. It is not legal advice and does not create a lawyer–client relationship by itself.
