About this manual

This Chamber Manual is the official operating guide for independent Pakistani lawyers on Legum AI Pak. It explains how to register, get verified, use Meezan AI and the full practice suite, manage clients and matters, and grow your presence on the platform.

Weigh the law in your favour. The flagship research assistant is Meezan AI. Editorial reading is published as Legum Law Review. This article is product documentation for counsel — not legal advice.

Key point

Always verify AI citations and drafts before filing or advising a client. Meezan outputs are research aids, not authorities.

Chapter 1 — Getting started

On the Legum AI Pak website, open Sign up and choose Lawyer (not User). Complete email OTP, set a password, and enter date of birth, a public username, Bar Council number, city, province and designation. Your username becomes part of your public lawyer profile link.

Continue through lawyer onboarding in this order:

  • Profile
  • Education
  • Experience
  • Expertise
  • Services
  • Verification
  • Finish

Later, use Sign in from the site header. Use Forgot password if you need a reset. Sign out from the account menu.

Device security typically allows one desktop and one mobile session, with idle timeout and an option to log out of all devices from Settings. After login, independent counsel land on the Lawyer Dashboard.

Top navigation includes Dashboard, Meezan AI (dropdown), Q&A Forum, Legal Blogs and Legal News. The sidebar groups Overview, AI Tools, Community, Workspace, Practice and Account. Find Lawyers is usually hidden from the lawyer top nav; the public Find Lawyers directory remains available to clients on the marketplace.

Note

Tip: Choose a professional username early. It appears on your public profile and marketplace presence.

Chapter 2 — Get Verified and public profile

Verification builds client trust. Open Get Verified from your dashboard practice area. Upload CNIC front and back, bar card front and back, and optionally NTN with supporting document. Confirm your Bar Council number and submit for admin review.

Admin may respond in one of these ways:

  • Approve — Verified badge
  • Reject — with reason; correct and resubmit
  • Request documents — resubmission required
  • Suspend — account deactivated, you are signed out, and you are removed from Find Lawyers and Find Services until Approve and verify again

Edit your profile from Dashboard → Profile: name, username, title, designation, firm name, city, province, years, rate per hour, bio, languages, courts, online consultation and hours, avatar and cover. Practice tags live under Services in the practice menu. Your public profile is shared as a lawyer profile page on Legum AI Pak. Control visibility and online status under Settings.

Chapter 3 — Plans, credits and storage

Independent counsel choose between Free Lawyer and Professional Lawyer. Credits and storage reset or stack as shown in the product billing screen.

PlanPriceCredits / monthStorageHighlights
Free LawyerRs 0500.5 GBProfile, Get Verified, Meezan within credits, Forum answers. Message content locked. No matters, listings, jobs or Legal News submit.
Professional LawyerRs 4,500 / month1,00020 GBFull Meezan suite, messaging, matter management (50 workspaces per paid period, +50 each renewal), listings (up to 8 lifetime), jobs and Legal News. Yearly billing offers 10% off when shown.

All AI tools share one monthly credit pool. Storage quota is lifetime and does not reset monthly; buy add-ons from Storage in your account menu (about Rs 500 per GB — confirm current price in the product).

Independent renewal discounts (max 10%, reset on renewal, no rollover): Forum answers up to 5%, and up to two published Legal News articles at 2.5% each (5%). Open Billing from the account area to choose a plan and complete gateway or manual bank-proof payment.

Note

Free Lawyer: profile + Meezan + Q&A answers. Professional: messaging content, matters, listings, jobs and Legal News.

Chapter 4 — Meezan AI Assistant

Open Meezan AI from the top navigation dropdown, then Meezan AI Assistant. Cost: 1 credit per run. Click New research and ask a natural-language question of Pakistani law. Use suggested prompts for CPC, CrPC bail, Family Courts Act or Companies Act themes when offered.

From the answer you can:

  • Open sources
  • Copy the answer
  • Translate EN and Urdu where available
  • Export Word
  • Save to your library

Voice input may be available when the browser allows microphone access. Manage Recent chats in the sidebar and reopen Saved research from the tool or from Saved in your dashboard. Meezan uses retrieval over Pakistani statute and judgments. Always verify primary sources before filing.

Key point

Before filing: treat every citation as unverified until you open the reporter or official text yourself.

Chapter 5 — Drafting Engine

Open Drafting Engine from the Meezan AI menu. Cost: 3 credits per run.

Templates include:

  • Bail Application (Criminal)
  • Constitutional Petition (Constitutional)
  • Civil Plaint (Civil)
  • Legal Notice (Civil)
  • Sale Deed (Property)
  • Employment Contract (Corporate)

Workflow: choose template, enter court or forum, parties, facts (required) and optional special instructions. Generate the draft, review Before filing warnings and Sources used, then Copy, Export Word or Save. Treat the output as a first draft — edit jurisdiction, prayer, facts and citations before use.

Chapter 6 — Argument Builder

Open Argument Builder from the Meezan AI menu. Cost: 4 credits per run. Use it to prepare structured arguments and counter-arguments, with supporting authorities from retrieved Pakistani materials and evidence-support scores.

Enter matter type, court or forum, facts and background (required), and relief sought. Click Build arguments. Review the Arguments and Counter-arguments tabs: each point includes heading, reasoning, an Evidence percentage bar, and supporting authorities.

Key point

Grounds are limited to the statutes in your facts. The percentage is evidence support from retrieved excerpts, not predicted case outcome.

Chapter 7 — Predictive Analyzer

Open Predictive Analyzer from the Meezan AI menu. Cost: 5 credits per run. It surfaces case-strength and outcome signals with historical precedent trends — not a guarantee of winning.

Enter matter type, court (required), optional section or provision, optional judge, and key facts (required). Run analysis. Review predicted outcome probability, confidence, HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW risk items, favourable and adverse factors, historical trend and precedents used.

Use the tool for internal strategy. Do not present the percentage to a client as a certainty of success.

Chapter 8 — Contract Analyzer

Open Contract Analyzer from the Meezan AI menu. Cost: 6 credits per run. Analyse commercial agreements such as sale, lease, NDA or employment contracts for clause risks, gaps and recommended changes — not court pleadings.

Upload PDF, DOCX or TXT, or paste text. Review overall risk (HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW), executive summary, risky clauses with why and change guidance, gaps and recommended changes. Court-draft style uploads such as bail or petition text may be rejected; use Drafting Engine for pleadings.

Chapter 9 — Marketplace: list your services

Manage independent listings from Legal Services in your practice menu, with package tiers (Basic, Standard, Premium — confirm labels in the product). Clients browse Find Lawyers and Find Services on the public marketplace and open a service detail page from a listing card.

  • Professional Lawyer — up to 8 lifetime listings
  • Free Lawyer — cannot publish listings

A complete, verified public lawyer profile helps clients discover and contact you.

Chapter 10 — Real-time chat with clients

Independent counsel open Messages from the workspace menu for real-time client chat and proposals when the plan allows.

  • Free Lawyer — may see that someone contacted them, but message content stays locked until Professional
  • Professional Lawyer — can view, reply and send proposals (subject to any practice lock)

Reply promptly, keep quotes clear, and move formal engagement into a proposal when you are ready to open a matter.

Note

Free Lawyer: contact notifications yes; message body locked until upgrade.

Chapter 11 — Engagement proposals

A Matter Proposal is how Professional counsel formalise engagement with a client from chat. One accepted proposal opens one matter workspace. Free Lawyer cannot send proposals.

How it works:

  • Open the client thread in Messages
  • Use the Proposal action to draft terms (kind such as Litigation or Legal Service, title, court, practice area, matter type, description, scope, duration, fee, payment terms and optional notes)
  • Send the proposal in the thread — status starts as Pending
  • The client may Accept, Reject, or request Revision
  • If the client requests revision, send an updated proposal with clearer terms
  • On Accept, Legum AI Pak creates a matter linked to that proposal — open it from the proposal card or from Matter management

Keep scope and fee language precise before you send. Do not treat a chat quote as a substitute for an accepted proposal when you need a shared workspace, milestones and documents.

Note

Awaiting client response while Pending. After revision is requested, send a new proposal rather than editing the old one in place.

Chapter 12 — Matter management

Open Matter management from the workspace menu for your matter list, then open a matter for the full workspace. Free Lawyer has no matters. Professional Lawyer receives 50 workspaces per paid period, plus 50 each renewal. Most client matters arrive when a proposal is accepted.

Workspace tabs typically include:

  • Overview
  • Milestones — hearings, meetings, court appearance, client discussion, other (with dates)
  • Documents
  • Communication — link into messages
  • Tasks
  • Invoices
  • AI Insights

You can close or reopen matters. Use milestones to track hearing and meeting dates.

Chapter 13 — Legal Jobs

On Professional, open Legal Jobs from the workspace menu to browse openings, open a job detail page, apply, and track applications under My applications. Free Lawyer cannot browse or apply. Keep applications accurate and update status from My applications.

Chapter 15 — Legal Blogs and Legum Law Review

Read Legum Law Review from Legal Blogs in the top navigation, including the full archive and individual articles. Lawyers do not author Law Review posts; editorial content is published by Legum AI Platform. For your own written contribution and discount eligibility, use Legal News instead.

Chapter 16 — Q&A Forum

Open Q&A Forum from the top navigation (trending, latest, unanswered, top). Use Ask a question when signed in. Open any question to answer. Your forum profile is linked from your forum activity. Free and Professional lawyers may answer without a posting cap. Quality answers also feed the Q&A portion of your renewal discount (up to 5%).

Chapter 17 — Notifications, Saved library and Settings

Three account tools sit under overview and account menus:

  • Notifications — alerts; enable web push in Settings if offered
  • Saved — saved research, blogs, news and forum items
  • Settings — password change, profile visibility, online status, device security and account deactivation

Chapter 18 — Best practices and compliance

Always verify Meezan citations before filing. Do not treat Predictive percentages as a guaranteed win. Argument Builder Evidence percentage is not outcome probability. Protect client confidentiality. Upgrade from Free when you need message content, matters, listings, jobs or Legal News. If admin Suspends your account, you are deactivated and removed from public directories until Approve and verify again.
